The Government is proposing to integrate the operation of the Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions systems, as announced in the 2011 Budget.
Following an initial consultation with businesses and other interested parties, to gather evidence on the burdens placed on employers and payroll professionals by having to operate two different systems, a formal stage 1 consultation will be issued in the autumn.
