In Britain we have a proud history of developing some of the world's biggest infrastructure projects. The planned HS2 route from London to the north of England is just one example of this - the planning bill for the $70bn project has recently been submitted to parliament and if successful, work is due to commence in 2017.
We are not the only country currently undergoing huge infrastructure projects. As the modern world develops and the amount of people on this earth increases, we need to continue to make sure our travel systems and ways of getting around stay current.
